Who I Am
Davis Photography started in August, 2005. In so many ways, it seems amazing that it has been five years already! :) My name is Athena Davis and along with being a photographer, I am also an English teacher, wife, and mother. I have been married ten years and have two children, Emma (7) and Kelsey (5). Do my children get photographed too frequently? They would probably say yes! I mostly photograph people (and sometimes their pets), though I do have one room in my house dedicated to my nature and landscape photographs. If you or anyone you know are looking for natural photography from an easy-going photographer in a beautiful outdoor setting or a creative indoor studio, please give me a call. I would love to hear from you and please feel free to comment on my blog at any time! Contact Me: 423-284-3755 or athenadavisphotography@yahoo.com
Session Investment
A typical session takes about an hour (or more, if necessary) with any wardrobe changes and indoor and/or outdoor photography. You are able to select your 25 proofs for your album at that time. Session fees are $75 for the session and the proof album. You can also order additional reprints/enlargements once you receive your proof album. I am happy to advise you on clothing choices and possible articles of interest in your photos.
Photography-- Why I Love It
I love to capture that natural thoughtful look on a child's face... that moment when they see things in the world that we adults can't see;
I love the pride in a senior... the feeling they convey that the world is there for the taking;
I love moments of interaction between families... the deep connection from sharing the same story in life;
I love the sparkle in the eyes of a couple in love... the hope for the future;
I love the awe of looking at a brand new baby... the feeling that the fingerprints of God are still fresh on him or her;
I love any opportunity to do what I love while bringing joy to others... to capture those moments that make up this crazy thing we call life!
