Prom, Anyone?

Prom Season is HERE! (Well, for those of us who are coordinating an entire prom at a local high school, it has been here since last May, but for everyone else... it's HERE!!!) I am now booking prom sessions. Remember, these will fill up very quickly and they are limited.

If you book a prom session with me, what do you get? I'm glad you asked....

Your prom session will cost $25/couple (minimum of $50). I will meet you at a location of your choice (my farm, Fletcher Park, some private location you have access to, Coolidge Park, the Walnut Street Bridge, etc) and I will take approximately 1-1 1/2 hours of pictures. I will charge $25 more (on the total, not per couple) to drive to Chattanooga. I will shoot variations of groupings-- each couple, just the girls, just the boys, the entire group, and so on. We will do all kinds of pictures, fun, formal, and everything in between. For your $25, each couple will receive the photography and a CD of all images taken, as well as a copyright release for those images. Groups larger than five couples will also receive an 8x10 of the entire group for each couple.

Dates/Times Open Include:

April 9- Bradley High School Prom
3:00 PM - Booked

April 16- Cleveland High School Prom
I am booking one session for this prom. Please respond quickly if you are interested.

It's the Gift that TRULY Keeps on Giving!

Thirteen days till Christmas... Does that strike fear in the heart of any of you procrastinators out there? I can help!

Buy a Davis Photography gift certificate as a present for that hard-to-buy-for parent, the teacher instead of another mug, the new mom, the boyfriend/girlfriend (major bonus points if it's a girlfriend!), or the person you forgot and now have no time to shop for! OR, if you wanted pictures to give as a gift and you have let time get away from you and it's too late to schedule, give a gift certificate!

These can be used for full sessions, mini-holiday sessions (Valentine's Day and Easter will be here before we know it!),and toward reprints/enlargements from previous sessions. Email (athenadavisphotography@yahoo.com) or facebook message me (Davis Photography on facebook) to purchase your gift certificate!

Christmas in a Stable... No, Not That One

I have finally nailed down my plan for Christmas sessions. I am doing Christmas mini-sessions on December 4. These sessions will last around 30 minutes, no outfit changes. You will be able to choose a couple of different locations from the following: the stable/inside the barn, the fence, the field/red chair, or the shed (the red shed). Family groups are welcome, just children, couples, pets, etc. I am really excited about these, as they are much different than my typical Christmas sessions. I am calling this a Rustic Christmas. :) Stay tuned, because our family is doing ours within the next couple of days and you can see our sample shots. You can wear Christmas colors, regular clothes, dress up, dress down, pajamas, Santa hats, costumes... whatever you want.

So what do you get? And for how much? I'm glad you asked.

Sessions are $25. For that price, you will be able to select (from approximately 40-50 shots) an 8x10, a 5x7, 8 wallets, and 5 4x6s. Christmas cards are available or you can get a copyright release to one image for $10 to do your own cards.

Book quickly before the times are gone! Email (athenadavisphotography@yahoo.com) or facebook (Davis Photography) is the easiest way to reach me. If you want a full session or if you would prefer Wednesday, 11/24, I can possibly to a couple that day.

10:00 Garrod
10:45 Riad
11:30 Silver
12:45 Carroll
2:15 Eaton
3:00 Howell
3:45 Rutherford

American Heroes...

In honor of Veteran's Day this week, I would like to make a special offer. I want to do a free session for an active military personnel member. This can be a current member of any branch of our armed forces or reserve unit. This time of year always brings me to reflection regarding our service members and the sacrifices they make. I am currently teaching my Holocaust unit with my sophomore classes. The atrocities that occurred in Nazi Germany should cause each and every one of us to thank God that we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. My students wrote thank you letters to veterans today and we will hopefully hear from a veteran who liberated a concentration camp in the next couple of weeks. This free session is sort of my own thank you to those who defend my rights at a moment's notice. The first member of our military to call or email me will receive the free session. Call 284-3755 or email athenadavisphotography@yahoo.com. All of you out there who check this blog (even though NONE of you leave comments!) :), if you know of any military personnel, have them take advantage of my offer! I will let it stand until I schedule a session. Thank a veteran this week!

Happy Easter from Davis Photography

I have had so much fun with all of the "Bunny Sessions" and I am so glad I was able to do that this year.  However, I did just want to take a moment on this Easter night and say how blessed I am that my Savior became flesh so that I could be made whole.

For Jesus to have chosen this...
for me is awe-inspiring.

And what a celebration it was when He triumphed over this...

so that we all might have life more abundantly.

Happy Easter!

[All photos are from the South Cleveland Church of God Easter Production. Email me if you want church service times! We would love to have you!]

All Gave Some...

**Update: I have filled the offer for the free session for an active military personnel member. I am excited to be doing a session for a guy I grew up with who is about to be deployed to Iraq. He has already done one or two tours and we will certainly be praying for his safety as he returns overseas in the New Year. Pictures to come!

In honor of Election Day today and Veteran's Day next week, I would like to make a special offer. I want to do a free session for an active military personnel member. This can be a current member of any branch of our armed forces or reserve unit. This time of year always brings me to reflection regarding our service members and the sacrifices they make. The fact that this has been an election year has only intensified my feelings of pride in our country and the true blessing it is to live in a free country where we have the right to vote and take part in our government. Tomorrow I will start my Holocaust unit with my sophomore classes. The atrocities that occurred in Nazi Germany should cause each and every one of us to thank God that we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. My students will write thank you letters to veteran's next week and we will hear from a veteran who liberated a concentration camp the week after that. Thank a veteran next week and, if you haven't yet, GET OUT AND VOTE TODAY!!!
