Trash the Dress- Booking Now!!!

Okay girls, here is the moment you have been waiting for!!! How many formal dresses are just sitting in your closet, waiting on one last hurrah? Why not get some cool shots in them? I will be scheduling a "trash the dress" session sometime before the end of summer. We will get a group together and ride around taking awesome pictures you never would have dared take before prom (or that wedding).

Think in the creek, sitting atop a pile of bricks, under a waterfall, etc--

Think music video--

Think amazing pictures--

Two Hot Deals!

OK guys, here are a couple of hot deals for summer...

  1. If you have an open session from which you have not already placed an order (or, in the case of seniors, have only ordered wallets) and you place a reorder of at least $25, you will receive a free 8x10.
  2. Anyone who schedules a session in the month of June will receive five extra proofs in your proof book.

Summer is when I have a break from my other job, so I would like to stay busy taking some awesome outside pictures!!! All of you who were waiting on nice weather, it is here. However, if you wait too long, we'll be cooped up inside again for months! The field is green, the creek is warm, and the sun is out. I also have some cool new studio sessions as well. Give me a call!!!

Josh and Leah - Together Forever!

Josh and Leah had a beautiful (and sweetly hilarious) wedding this past Saturday. I had so much fun taking their pictures (though I find weddings to be VERY stressful!). There were so many moments in their day of just pure, unadulterated JOY. From the first moment Josh saw her to the families joining in prayer to the gum :) to the totally spontaneous and sweet embrace after the ceremony, these two are so obviously madly in love with each other. They both come from wonderful families who also have so much love for each of them and so much hope for their union. It was a wonderful (and beautiful!) day and I am happy to have been part of it. It was also nice to work with Stephen Beasley, videographer, and Pat Collins, wedding coordinator! I have known both of them in my other life as a teacher and it was fun to get to work with them in a different setting!

Congrats, Josh and Leah! Hope Jamaica is wonderful and you come back rested and relaxed!!!

My Two Littlest Friends!

What fun it was this past Saturday to get not only a weekend visit from my best friend and her family, but also to get to take pictures of her little girls! Jennifer, Chris, Alivia, and Sydney came to town for my Emma's fifth birthday party. After the campout, we cleaned up and headed down to do an all-girl session with Alivia (4) and Sydney (2). They were really very cooperative (Daddy got a little frustrated, but the girls were great...) and it was lots of fun! :) Yall know how much I love all four of you!!!

A Beautiful Bride, a Sunny May Morning

Leah and her sweet mom came over this past Saturday for Leah's bridal session. It was still a little muddy, but we used some ingenious measures to keep the shoes from getting gross! Leah's dress is BEAUTIFUL and she looked stunning in it. I know Josh will be excited to see it this Saturday. However, so that he won't see it yet, I will add pictures to this after the wedding! Congrats, Leah, you looked beautiful!

Precious Baby, Sweet Mommy, Proud Grad

The Tilley family came over a few weeks ago and we combined three sessions into one! (This was quite a feat with a three month old baby!) Clayton was so good for his baby shots, even though it was a chilly afternoon. I loved seeing Samantha, someone I have watched grow up, interact with her little one. She is obviously a great mom and he is very into his mommy! Ju-Ju and Uncle Aaron came too, so we were able to get some family shots and Uncle Aaron got some time for a few special senior photos. It's been a big year for the Tilley family! Thanks guys, it was great fun. I look forward to seeing Clayton grow up (and Aaron, too!). :)

A Special Couple

Leah and Josh are going to be married on the 24th of May, so we did their engagement session last week. These two are so much fun to watch with each other! I have never photographed people who couldn't quit talking and laughing together until now. So many of the pictures caught them mid-look or mid-sentence! It's so nice to see people who are so in love start their new life together!

Last Minute Senior Sessions!

Thanks to Ankita, I was able to spend an afternoon with her cousin, Rima. She saw Ankita's pictures and wanted some of her own! She was so sweet and my girls especially liked her! It was a beautiful, warm afternoon and we got some gorgeous shots. Thanks, Rima! Congratulations on graduation!

Romance over the River

Just before prom time, I met up with this last prom group for a quick session on the Walnut Street Bridge. Both of these beautiful couples are dating and you could see the chemistry they each had. I had lots of fun with the cool perspectives the bridge presents and with great subjects like these, how can you go wrong??? Thanks to Kendra, Edgar, Mike, and Casey; I had a wonderful time. Thanks for letting me share in your prom day!

In their Finery in the Art District

Prom Group #2 was waiting for me at the Hunter Art Museum. The weather just kept getting nicer, and this group looked wonderful as well! We took some fun shots around the Museum and the walk close by. They were such a laid-back group, just there to have a good time. That's my kind of prom, friends! Thanks to Savannah, Leah, Lauren, Zeke, and Daryl. Hope prom was just what you expected!

Handsome Guys and Beautiful Girls

My first prom group of Saturday was pretty large! There were five couples (and lots of parents!). Thankfully the icky weather of Saturday morning cleared up and the sun was shining beautifully for our gorgeous outdoor prom session. Each of the couples were so different and I had lots of fun watching all of the interact with each other! They were very patient with the long session (guys too!) and I am glad I got to spend part of their prom day with them! Thanks to Bethany and Ryan, Rachel and Lebron, Kayla and Ethan, Rachel and Shane, and Hilary and Tom. Hope you had an amazing (mostly Junior) Prom!
