Chords of Jubilation

Today was SO a taste of summer!!! I just am so excited about this beautiful weather and sunshine. Jordan came over this afternoon for some senior pictures. We had in mind the usual cap and gown, a few casuals... boy did we end up with more than that!!! Mom and brother Brandon came too, and we got some great brother shots. My very favorite, however, were a complete surprise. I mentioned my red chair (which I love!) and they were excited to take some shots in it. Then Debbie mentioned that he should have brought his guitar (which got us all excited!) and she ran home to get it. I am seriously nuts about these shots. How I love taking pictures, and how I love this sweet family from my church! Thanks so much, guys. You all are such blessing to be around and I am so lucky to be your friend!

Hippity-Hop!!! Now Booking the Coolest Easter Sessions EVER!!!

These are not your Mama's Easter Bunny Pictures! Davis Photography is offering something brand new and totally different... Easter pictures in the great outdoors with the Easter Bunny!

Imagine with me for a moment: Not the boring, traditional, your kid sitting on the Easter Bunny's lap in the mall--nope, toss that one out the window! Instead, picture your child being pushed in the swing by the Easter Bunny... chasing the Easter Bunny through the field... holding hands walked across the bridge with the Easter Bunny... sitting on the creek bank, relaxing with the Easter Bunny... much more exciting, huh? You can have those pictures!

Easter Sessions are scheduled for April 2 from 4-7, and *April 4 from 10-4. **

*Saturday Full Sessions time slots are gone. I have room for two more mini-Easter sessions at 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM.
**Just added, by popular demand: Sunday, April 5- Sessions available from 3:30-5:30. (1-3:30 is full.)

You have two options for your session:
A full session for $40 in which we will take about 100-150 pictures and you can pick 25 4x6's for an album
OR
A special mini-Easter session which will be $25 and will include around 40 pictures to choose from with a 5x7, an 8x10, and 8 wallets.

Email athenadavisphotography@yahoo.com or call 284.3755 quickly to take advantage of this awesome photography opportunity. I expect that these will fill up quickly, since I had one booked before I even scheduled the sessions! :)

Keep checking back. I will post some example pictures as soon as my children are over their various illnesses!

*In case of foul weather (which I am praying hard against even as I write, I will have to reschedule the Saturday pictures for April 10 (Good Friday) morning and possibly April 11.

Tuxes, Limos, Dresses, and Pictures... Prom Season is Upon Us!!!

Well, it's that time again. The time of year that is second only to Christmas for a high school student (girl). Prom time is here and I am almost booked up before I have even posted my information! There are still some spots left for each date. If you book a prom session with me, what do you get? I'm glad you asked....

Your prom session will cost $25/couple. I will meet you at a location of your choice (my farm, Fletcher Park, some private location you have access to, Coolidge Park, the Walnut Street Bridge, etc) and I will take approximately 1-1 1/2 hours of pictures. I will charge $25 more (on the total, not per couple) to drive to Chattanooga. I will shoot variations of groupings-- each couple, just the girls, just the boys, the entire group, and so on. We will do all kinds of pictures, fun, formal, and everything in between. For your $25, each couple will receive the photography and a CD of all images taken, as well as a copyright release for those images. Groups larger than five couples will also receive an 8x10 of the entire group for each couple.

Dates/Times Open Include:

April 18- Bradley High School Prom
One time slot is likely taken, therefore I have room for two more prom sessions on this date.

April 25- Walker Valley High School Prom
1:00- Booked
2:00- Booked
3-5 - Booked
*Update: This date is closed

May 9 - Cleveland High School Prom
I can probably fit in two prom sessions on this date. I am coordinating this prom, so I am going to be decorating most of the day. I will not be able to do any sessions in Chattanooga. If you want to schedule a prom session for Cleveland, you need to call as soon as possible.
*Update: I have two probable sessions booked, so this date is likely closed.

Cal 284.3755 or email athenadavisphotography@yahoo.com to schedule!!!

If You Can Dream...

What a fun weekend I have had! One of my family's best friends came and spent the weekend with us. They came into town to have a party for their five year old, Alivia, at the Princess Parlor downtown. I have bragged on this place before, since I took pictures of Kassidy's party, but I am telling you, this is an amazingly fun place to have a little girl's birthday party!!!

Anyway [commercial over], Alivia's grandmother was not able to make the trip for the party and so she bought a session for me to do pictures so that she could have some. I think I might have gone a little overboard with the number of pictures, but it was a lot of fun. The girls had a blast (a pink, princessy blast) and I enjoyed capturing the memories. Here are a few of our favorites.

And Alivia-- happy #5!!! Always keep dreaming! We love you!!!

It's How You Live...

This past beautiful Thursday afternoon, I got to spend some time with one of my favorite families!!! I go to church with the Lamberts and I have always enjoyed all four of them so much. (Hopefully one day we can get all four of them to come out and get a family session done!) I have gotten to take pictures of Tenielle (and Taylor) before, but this was a special senior session for Tenielle, who will graduate in two short months. We had lots of fun (love the aerial photos!) and I am so glad that the weather was so perfect. I had lots of fun, Tenielle, and I hope you love your pics. Thanks for the reminder that it's not "who you knew and it's not what you did, it's how you live." (Point of Grace) Turn up the music!!! :)
