Forever Friends

A few weeks ago I got a call about doing some really special pictures. See, there is this group of three friends... and they have BEEN friends for a very long time. And now, one of them is moving away. (I can relate quite well to this sad scenario because I was once in a group of three friends, and one of them moved away... and now the OTHER is moving away. But enough about me and the fact that EVERY SINGLE PERSON I BECOME CLOSE TO MOVES AWAY--) They wanted some pictures done of all three of them. And the coolest part-- they wanted them done at a local elementary school where they all worked when their friendship started. How cool is that?!?!?! So, I met them (under some potentially very threatening skies) last week and we took some of the sweetest and most REAL pictures I think I have ever taken. You can see in these shots how COMFORTABLE they are all are with each other and how NATURAL their friendship is. It made me really glad that we live in 2011, when friends can move great distances away and we are still only a plane ride, a facetime call, or a facebook chat away instead of back when distance meant the end of great friendships! Gals, I had the best time taking these and I hope you remain as close as you are right now. :)

An Important Occasion

Sheila had seen photos of several different people I have done lately, and she wanted a session to commemorate a birthday of hers. We got so lucky today to have a relatively warm, nice day for some pictures of her with some very special people to her. I really enjoyed getting to know these (VERY good-natured!) guys and Sheila today. Dwight, you are a great boyfriend to be so willing to take shots like this one! :) Thanks so much, Sheila, and I really enjoyed getting to know you guys! Enjoy your pics!

80's, Baby?

It is apparently the season of parties! The same day of Sydney's Princess Party, we had a SURPRISE 80's Fortieth Birthday Party for her daddy, Chris! He was very surprised and we all had such a great time dressing up! Happy 40th, Chris? Keep on keepin' it real. :)

Sisterly Love

This fun group of gals came over on Sunday afternoon to freeze me to death keep me company! They are a group of four sisters and let me tell you, they love to have fun with each other and laugh! My favorite moment of the session is a tie between either the attempts to get two of them in the tree for a silly picture or the bright idea of ... Tina, I think?... for them to lay on the bridge upside down. If this weren't enough, Lisa added in the fun legs! :) We had a great time, even if we did freeze to death! Thanks Tammy, Tralissa, Tommie, and Tina!

These are Our People

This was not the best one, as far as everyone looking at the camera, but I LOVE the moment captured between the two littlest, Kelsey and Kaleb.  They will probably always have a bond as the two youngest of the clan.

It's the way we were made, wouldn't have it any other way... These are our people!

Sing it, Rodney Atkins!  We had our Davis Family Beach Vacation this past week to our typical location, Indian Shores, FL.  This is such a fun week for all of us, to get to spend time relaxing with our West Virginia family on the beach.  The cousins have a ball fighting playing together and we adults like to shop and go to casinos spend quality time on the beach.  I am so blessed to have married into a family like Kraig's that is so much like my own.  I love them all very much and am privileged to be part of them.

Band of Brothers

These three brothers are one wisecrack after another! :) These guys kept me (and their mom) laughing the whole session. I can imagine that life in their household has probably always been active! But really, I have to say that I am terribly impressed that they were so kind to their mom to come and spend a Sunday afternoon taking pictures for her. The first picture here is my absolute favorite from the session. I have gotten to photograph Tyler and Chris before, but this was Josh's first "shoot" with me. I know it wasn't Stone Mountain, boys, but hopefully it was fun at times! :) Thanks, Junelle, for being such a great (repeat!!!) customer!
