At Last.... Christmas Sessions!

Schedule your Christmas mini-session today!

For the first time ever, I am offering a CD of your images! Sessions are $30 and will include a CD of at least 15 edited images. Those of you who use these pics for your Christmas cards will have those digital images without purchasing an extra copyright release. If you want any professional quality prints or specialty items (panels), you are always still welcome to order from me.

Christmas mini-sessions: Saturday, December 10 (other times possibly available upon request).

I already have a few booked that day, so fb message or email athenadavisphotography@yahoo.com ASAP if you want to schedule!

Fall Fun... for Everyone?

What I love about these guys? Amber appreciates a NORMAL picture... the kind that captures life as it actually is at times... which is why this one, according to her, should be captioned "Why We Seldom Take Family Pictures". HAHA!

I had such a good time taking pictures for this family. Derek and Kraig were college buddies and Amber and I met when I started dating Kraig. We don't see them nearly as much as we did in the past (though Amber and I are in book club together), but we so enjoy their company. And these kids... mercy. Too adorable and so much fun to hang out with! Thanks, Amber, for letting me have fun with you guys for an afternoon!

The Sweetest Bond

might be that of teenage siblings with an adorable, tiny little guy! This cute family goes to my church, and I took their pictures last year around this time. Tanner and Jocelyn are both growing up so fast and are so courteous and fun to be around. Little Cole is lucky enough to be doted on not just by Mom and Dad, but also by these siblings. You can see in the pictures the sweet bond they all have with each other. I really enjoyed getting to do this session!

She Said YES!

Wow, what a completely fun engagement session this was! Let me backtrack to last April to give the background on this one. Last April, Davis Photography was a sponsor for the Royal Family 5K. The male and female winners each got a gift certificate. Maria had not yet gotten around to using hers yet. In between then and now, I got to know Maria much better when she went to Royal Family Kids' Camp and worked with us this summer as a cousin. She is such a wonderful person. She contacted me recently about taking pictures for her wedding, but it falls during our Model United Nations trip, so I had to say no. However, I told her that if her wedding photographer couldn't/didn't do engagement pics, I would love to do them. Well, it ended up working out for me to take them AND for her to use her gift certificate! Win-win!!! She and Will are just the most fun couple and I think I laughed more than I took pictures. I know that their life together will be blessed and I am so happy I got to capture some moments for them!

She Don't Know She's Beautiful...

Sammy Kershaw has been out of country music for a while, but one of my all-time favorite songs of his is "She Don't Know She's Beautiful". And some of my favorite people to meet? The ones who fit that song. Morgan Ellis is one of those people. This child is absolutely beautiful and I don't think she even realizes it. I was so happy to meet her, after having taken some pictures for her family several other times. This is one of those sessions I will have a hard time picking five because I LOVE THEM ALL. :) Thanks, Morgan! I had loads of fun!

Top Five Reasons I LOVE Garcia Parties

5. The food is always good.
4. The entertainment is always amusing.
3. The "extras" are always awesome.
2. They are always creative.
1. The kids are ALWAYS adorable.

Just like last year, I need to say that I adore these people (and THEIR people). Jaylee is too adorable and precocious. She killed me this year with all of her hilarious expressions and commentary while she opened her presents. Where does she get it? Mom. And Dad. Love those guys. This year's theme was "Tangled" and Jessica and Tanisha outdid themselves. It was an awesome, fun party, even if the lanterns sort of rolled down the hill instead of floating gracefully into the air, right Jess? ;)

Break a Leg!

Gerald is this guy's uncle. He talked to me at Cameron's birthday party about doing some headshots for him to use in his developing acting career. After being rained out once, we were happy to finally get them done on a beautiful, late summer Wednesday afternoon. I told him, if acting doesn't work out, I think he could make it in modeling!

Step Back, Ladies...

This good-looking guy has grown up a LOT since the last time I took pictures for his family! Sometimes I do pics for kids from Bradley or Walker Valley and I enjoy the session so much, it makes me realize that there are so many kids out there I wish I got to teach! Cody is one of those kids. He is just the type of personality I always loved in my 10th grade classes. He is funny, personable, and easygoing. I had a great time doing your pics, Cody, and I hope you have a wonderful year!

They've Got Spirit... HOW 'BOUT YOU?!?!?!

Back in August or September, I got to take the CHS Cheer pictures. These girls, just like the soccer girls, are just some great all-around gals. They are involved, they love their school, they are good students... they are just further proof that CHS has the best students in the world.
